Biography
Adriana Gonzalez is one of the most prominent guatemalan singers of her generation. This last summer Adriana won 1st prize at the 2019 Placido Domingo Operalia Competition and the Pepita Embil Zarzuela Prize in Prague. Some of her upcoming projects include Micaëla - Opernhaus Zürich, Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi) & Suor Genovieffa (Suor Angelica) - Tokyo Spring Festival and Contessa (LeNozze di Figaro) - Opéra National de Lorraine. Also as an Audax Records Artist, Adriana recently released her first album along side conductor / pianist Iñaki Encina Oyón. In this debut, she delves into early 20th-century French Mélodie with a focus on the exceptional expressive qualities of husband and wife composers Robert Dussaut and Hélène Covatti.
