Born in Upper Austria, the 20/21 season ends with a series of performances at the Vienna State Opera and his star role as Baron Ochs in ROSENKAVALIER. Right at the beginning of the 21/22 season he can also be seen in this role in the Lithuanian National Theater in Vilnius . The season also includes a new production of BORIS GODUNOW (as Boris) at the Volksoper Vienna and a new production of MEISTERSINGER VON NÜRNBERG at the Deutsche Oper Berlin , where he was a member of the ensemble from 2012 to 2016.
