Several opera productions form the core of Bertrand de Billy’s 2020/21 season, in particular his return to the Vienna State Opera with a new production of Faust and revivals of Don Carlos, Werther and Ariadne auf Naxos. At the Bavarian State Opera he will conduct Dialogues des Carmèlites and Il Trittico, and Falstaff at Tokyo’s Nikikai Opera Foundation. Mr. de Billy’s work as a concert conductor in the 20/21 season will bring him to the podiums of such orchestras as the NHK Symphony, Houston Symphony, MDR-Sinfonieorchester, National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa, Iceland Symphony, Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte Carlo, Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, and the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne.
