Biography
Romanian tenor Bogdan Mihai trained with soprano Mariana Nicolesco, then in Italy with soprano Mirella Freni. He made his debut in 2008 at Bucharest National Opera as Count Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and quickly embarked on an international career as a belcanto specialist. Almaviva is his parade role which he debuted at Semperoper Dresden, Staatsoper Stuttgart, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Liceu of Barcelona, Opéra de Montréal, Oviedo Opera, Théatre du Chatelet in Paris, Grand Théatre de Genéve (broadcasted worldwide on Mezzo TV and Arte TV), Bolshoi Theater in Moscow and for the inauguration of the Dubai Opera House. A recognized Rossinian thanks to spectacular coloratura and high notes, he has sung Ramiro / Cenerentola in Stuttgart, Opéra National du Rhin; Armida in Garsington, Adelb
