Biography
Christian von Götz, born in Lübeck and trained in Vienna and Berlin, is an opera director and is also considered a specialist in unconventional musical and operetta. He studied directing and music theater directing at the University of Music and Theater in Vienna and at the Hanns Eisler University of Music in Berlin. Staging has taken him to the Komische Oper Berlin, the Hamburg State Opera, the Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich, the Royal Opera in Copenhagen, the opera houses in Lisbon and Odessa and the Edinburgh International Festival. He was nominated several times in the critics' polls of the Opernwelt magazine in the category “Best production”.
