Biography
Claudia Mahnke has established herself as one of the most important mezzo-sopranos and inspires her audience on the international opera stages and concert halls with her warm, versatile voice. At her home company, the Frankfurt Opera, she will be seen again as Hänsel in the 2020/21 season. In the new production Aida, directed by Lydia Steier, she will debut as Amneris. The artist then will appear in the Frankfurt new production of Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites. In addition, she will appear again as Magdalene in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg at Münchner Opernfestspiele with Kirill Petrenko conducting.
