Born in Russia she obtained a degree in History at the University of Armavir whilst studying singing. She went on to complete her musical education at the Rimski-Korsakov Conservatory in St Petersburg, attended the Hochschule für Musik in Dresden and took part in the Elena Obraztsova international Competition, winning third prize. She attended the Salzburg Young Singers’ Project, appearing in the final concert at the Mozarteum under the direction of Ivor Bolton. She won second prize in the International Opera singing Competition in St Petersburg, studying at the same time with Raúl Giménez. Ekaterina’s debut was as Adina L’Elisir D’amore at the Mikhailovsky Theater in St. Petersburg repeating the role in the same production at the Bolshoi Theatre. Out of Russia her very successful debut
