Biografie
Bekannt für ihre lebendigen Porträts der Puccini-Heroinen und für ihre volle, charakteristische Stimme, hat sich Elizabeth Llewellyn seit ihrem Debüt als Mimì (La Bohème) vor weniger als zehn Jahren rasch einen Namen als international herausragende Darstellerin und Sängerin gemacht. In London geboren, studierte sie am Royal Northern College of Music und dem National Opera Studio, unterstützt von der Peter Moores Foundation. Spezialisiert auf das italienische Repertoire, umfasst ihr Repertoire Cio-Cio San (Madame Butterfly), Magda (La Rondine), Giorgetta (Il tabarro), Tosca, Suor Angelica, Aida, Luisa Miller und Amelia (Simon Boccanegra), für die Elizabeth Llewellyn als „Sängerin des Jahres 2013“ in der Zeitschrift Opernwelt nominiert wurde. 2014 gab sie ihr Wagner-Debüt als Elsa in Loheng
