Biography
British countertenor James Hall is a graduate of the Royal College of Music. A Britten-Pears Young Artist, he has performed with Solomon’s Knot, the Binchois Consort, the BBC Singers, the Dunedin Consort, the OAE, La Nuova Musica, the AAM, and the Monteverdi Choir. James’ Opera engagements include Endymion La Calisto (Upstairs at the Gatehouse), Oronte Riccardo Primo (London Handel Festival), Bertarido Rodelinda (Foundling Museum), Pastore III L’Orfeo (Bayerische Staatsoper; BBC Proms), Johan in David Bruce’s Nothing (Glyndebourne), Oberon cover A Midsummer Night's Dream (Glyndebourne), and The Boy/Angel 1 cover Written on Skin (Royal Opera House).
