Biography
Born in Jerez de La Frontera, Spain, Juan Guillermo Nova studied Art History and technical and artistic drawing at the former Santo Domingo School of Art; Graduated from Escuela Trazos, in digital postproduction and 3D projection. He began his career in theatre at the Teatro Real in Madrid. He worked in the production of Faust at the Teatro Regio di Parma; Tosca, Barbiere di Siviglia and Traviata at Arena di Verona; La Bohème at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires; In 2013 he became technical director of the Municipal Theater of São Paulo, winner of the best set design in Brazil in 2013 and 2015 with Don Giovanni and Manon Lescaut respectively. He has made numerous sets for ballet, including Giselle Trieste, Bayadere ballet Teatro Opera Rome, Le coirsare e Don Quixote SNG Maribor. Swan lake
