Biography
Kasper Holten was born 1973 in Copenhagen. He has directed opera, drama, musical, operetta and film in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, UK, Germany, France, Austria, Italy, Spain, Russia, US, Japan and Australia. He was Artistic Director of the Royal Danish Opera 2000-2011 and headed the opening of Copenhagen's new opera house in 2005. He was Director of Opera at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden 2011-2017. He has directed at Covent Garden, La Scala Milan, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Wiener Staatsoper, Theater an der Wien, Opera National de Lyon, Teatro Real, and Opera Australia.
