Biography
Soprano Katharina Göres was born in Berlin, Germany. She took her first musical steps on a popular children's music TV-Show, then as a member of the Berlin Radio Children's Choir and eventually became a pre-college piano student at the "Hanns Eisler" Academy of Music in Berlin. In 2001, she began her college studies at the Hanns Eisler Academy in the voice studio of Carola Nossek and also studied interpretation with renowned soprano Julia Varady the art of Lied with pianist Wolfram Rieger. In addition she was privileged to work in master classes with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Irwin Gage, Ann Murray and Willy Decker. From 2008 to 2013 she was working with Dorothee Reingardt.
