New Zealand born mezzo soprano Kristin Darragh is one of New Zealand's most outstanding opera talents, praised in Opernglas for having a voice of 'breathtakingly beautiful depth,' she was a principal artist at Theater Lueneburg, Germany from 2012 - 2015. In three seasons she performed the roles of Olga (Eugene Onegin), Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus), Suzuki (Madama Butterfly), Alice (Lucia di Lammermoor), Charlotte (Werther), Dritte Dame (Die Zauberflöte), Carmen in a Music Theater piece written for an actress and a singer titled ‘Wir, Carmen’, Maddalena (Rigoletto), Frau M ( Neues vom Tage), Der Kater (Der Gesteifelter Kater) and as her musical genre debut, Sally Bowells in Cabaret. At the age of 23, Kristin made her debut with The New Zealand Opera as Fyodor in Mussorsky’s Boris Godunov. No
