Leonardo Neiva (baritone) Brazilian baritone Leonardo Neiva is known for his theatrical aplomb and vocal versatility. He made his operatic debut at the age of 23 as Figaro in Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville” in Teatro São Carlos, Lisbon. Since autumn 2022, he is a soloist with the Estonian National Opera. ACKNOWLEDGMENTS In 2009, he received the 12th Carlos Gomes Award for Best Male Brazilian Singer for his performances as the High Priest of Dagon (Saint-Saëns’ “Samson and Delilah”), Aeneas (Purcell’s “Dido and Aeneas”) as well as Kullervo (Sibelius’ symphonic poem of the same name).
