Biography
The Austrian baritone Liviu Holender has been a member of the Frankfurt Opera since the 2019/2020 season and can be heard this season as Henrik (Die Maskerade), Marullo (Rigoletto) and Marco (Gianni Schicchi), among others. Upcoming engagements include two major house debuts in Italy: First at Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in the role of Falke (Die Fledermaus) under the baton of Zubin Mehta and Harlekin (Ariadne auf Naxos) with Daniele Gatti. As well as his Teatro alla Scala debut in the role of Silvano (Un Ballo in Maschera). At the Tiroler Festspiele Erl he was scheduled to appear on stage as Dottore Malatesta in Don Pasquale, but the production was postponed because of the corona pandemic.
