Biography
The Spanish mezzo-soprano/soprano, Lola Casariego, studied vocal tecnique and interpretaion at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg; at the Escuela Superior de Canto de Madrid; singing and intrpretation privately (1986-2014). Lola Casariego has enjoyed a long and fruitful career as a mezzo-soprano since April 1992. Recently, under the expert tutelage of her teacher Daniel Muñoz and abetted by her successful appearances as Salud in La vida breve by de Falla, she has explored the extremes of her vocal range and re-invented herself as a lirico-spinto soprano. As a mezzo-soprano, Lola Casariego appeared in such internationally acclaimed venues as the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, the Festival Settembre Musica of Torino, the Teatro Verdi in Trieste, the Teatro Real in Madrid, Pittsburgh Ope
