Milan, ItalyMarco Filibeck was born in Rome in 1957. He began his career as a live console operator and lighting designer for live shows. Between 1979 and 1984, Marco worked in over 200 concerts for the now-rockstar Vasco Rossi. Other gigs included Italian top selling singers Loredana Bertè ("E la luna bussò" tour, 1979) and Enzo Jannacci ("Ci vuole orecchio" tour, 1981). In 1983, Marco completed a training program for light technicians at Bologna's Teatro Comunale. Two years later, he's hired at Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Since 1996 Marco Filibeck has been a lighting designer at Teatro alla Scala, and in 2009, he became the Head of the Lighting Department and Resident Lighting Designer.
