Biography
The German baritone Michael Rapke started his singing career as a soprano in the famous boys choir ‘Windsbacher Knabenchor’ in Southern Germany. Living two years in France he took voice lessons with Christiane Stutzmann at the Conservatory in Nancy. Then he followed his studies at the University of Arts in Berlin with Prof. Ute Treckel-Burckhardt till 2012. Several master classes with Eric Schneider, Wofram Rieger, Rudolf Piernay, Charlotte Lehmann, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Peter Kooij and furthermore with the King’s Singers and the Hilliard Ensemble enriched his musical experience and developed his ability to perform in a wide range of style from Baroque to Opera and from Lied to modern music. In 2009 he made his opera debut with the contemporary opera ‘The Fall of the House of Usher’ by
