Momme Rohrbein, set designer, was born in Germany. He has designed scores of productions including Der Ring des Nibelungen (Wagner), Salome (R. Strauss), Jenufa (Janacek), Die Fledermaus (J. Strauss), Macbeth (Verdi), The Rake’s Progress (Stravinsky), Die Zauberflote (Mozart) as well as many theatre plays including The Tempest, Danton’s Death, The Seagull, Peer Gynt and others. He has worked at the opera houses and theatre companies of Munich, Mannheim, Lisbon, Koln, Berlin, Moscow, Hamburg, Vienna, Basel and others. This is his first work for the Israeli Opera.
