Biography
Hailed by the New York Times as &ldquoan agile and magnetic coloratura soprano”, Nili Riemer most recently returned to Oper Leipzig and Saarlaendsiches Staatstheater for the role of Koenigin der Nacht. Ms. Riemer made her New York City Opera debut in 2013 as the Maid in Thomas Ades’ Powder Her Face, and she reprised the performance with the Opera Festival du Quebec. Currently based in Germany, Ms. Riemer also performed with Oper Leipzig and made her debut at Theater Freiburg in the role of Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos in the 2013-14 season. Additionally, she joined the Seattle Opera for La fille du Regiment. Additional roles recently performed in Europe include the title role in Arriaga’s Die arabische Prinzessin with Oper Leipzig, the stratospheric Sehn hoher Sopran in Rihm’s Erober
