Biography
Russian soprano Olesya Golovneva, who has been distinguished already as “best singer of the year” for her performances as Anna Bolena and Luisa Miller, was nominated in 2019 for the German Theater prize FAUST for her interpreation of Rusalka at Cologne Opera. She opens the season making her role debut as Katia Kabanova at State Opera Hamburg. At Deutsche Oper am Rhein she will sing Donna Anna in Don Giovanni and again Violetta in La Traviata. Oper Frankfurt has engaged the singer as Elisabetta in Verdi‘s Don Carlo. As Valentine in Meyerbeer‘s Les Huguenots she returns to Deutsche Oper Berlin and will sing Tatjana in Eugen Onegin at Finnish National Opera. In 2018/19 she sang Desdemona at Oper Frankfurt together with Roberto Saccà in Otello. After that she made her debut in the role of Sim
