Lauded for her &ldquotheatrical magnetism ”, and “ striking expressiveness and sensitivity to her character”, American mezzo-soprano, Olivia Vote is a “voice to pay attention to...” Most recently Ms. Vote has been participating as a member of the Internationales Opernstudio at Zurich Opera. Highlights of her performances in Zurich include singing Mary Hawkins in the world premier of Frank Schwemmer's Die Schatzinsel, Philomene in Martinů's Zweimal Alexandre, Mago in Handel's Rinaldo, and as a soloist in Hans Neuenfels's new production Wie ich Welt wurde, a co-production with Opernhaus Zurich and the Zurich Shauspielhaus about the life of Richard Wagner. In addition she can be seen in roles in La Traviata, Meistersinger, Salome, and Peter Grimes. She also had the pleasure to work with
