Pavel Kolgatin was a student of the State Academy of Choral Art under the tuition of Professor Dmitry Vdovin. Whilst still a student, he was invited to the Young Artists programme of the Bolshoi Theatre. Pavel recently made his debut at the Salzburg Festival for Die Liebe der Danae and sang Il Conte D’Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Dresden Semperoper. He also made his debut with the Polish National Opera as Don Narcisco in Il Turco in Italia. Last season he made his Nationaltheater Mannheim and Theater Basel debuts, as Prince Ramiro in performances of Cenerentola at both houses. Pavel is also a member of the Wiener Staatsoper and performs regularly in Vienna, in roles such as Don Ottavio Don Giovanni, The Innocent Boris Godunov, Basilio Le nozze di Figaro, Ernesto in Don Pasqu
