Biography
Complimented as brilliant baritone by Sueddeutsche Zeitung, ennobled as an excellent singer with outstanding technic by FAZ, Opera Now and Opernwelt, Peter Schoene has established his international reputation as concert, opera and liedersinger. He has won several competitions, including the Schubert-Competition in Graz and Bundeswettbewerb Gesang, and was prizewinner at the ARD music competition. Since his operatic debut as Eddy in Mark-Anthony Turnage’s Greek at the Komische Oper Berlin in 2002 Peter Schöne has performed almost all the major baritone repertoire in more than twenty opera houses. His roles have included Guillaume Tell, Jochanaan (Salome) as well as Amfortas (Parsifal) and Germont (La Traviata). Peter Schoene was born in Berlin in 1976 and began playing the violin at the age
