Real art in costume design comes with the designer’s intent to transport narration within the garments. Any single costume in a play or on screen, traditional or avant-garde, tells a story, talks about the development and the fate of a narrated character. Petra Reinhardt has always been successful in this regard; hand in hand with the director and all the others of the team, she makes everyone she dresses talk – talk to the other roles, talk to the spectator- creating an ensemble of art enhanced by the costumes.
