Biography
Quirijn de Lang is widely known as an exceptional singing actor in a wide and varied repertoire. Equally successful as Ambroise Thomas’ Hamlet and Fred/Petrucchio in Cole Porter's Kiss Me, Kate, he is at home in the traditional operatic baritone repertoire as well as the world of operetta and classic musicals. Showcasing this wide variety of styles, recent projects include Zurga in Les Pêcheurs de Perles for Opera North, and Oppenheimer in John Adam's Doctor Atomic in Utrecht, the Netherlands, Randy Curtis in Kurt Weill's Lady in the Dark, and Papageno in a modern reworking of The Magic Flute at Welsh National Opera. Upcoming performances include Don Alfonso - Così fan tutte, and concerts such as Ein Deutsches Requiem by Brahms and Rossini's Stabat Mater in the Concertgebouw. 2022 saw
