The German-Mexican baritone, Rafael Bruck, studied music education and Romance studies in Freiburg. He then studied opera and concert singing at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln with Mario Hoff and Johannes Martin Kränzle and completed his concert exam with distinction. He received further impetus in master-classes with Hedwig Fassbender, Diane Forlano, Marjana Lipovšek, Götz Payer, Rudolf Piernay and Wolfram Rieger. In 2009 he was a finalist at the Paula-Salomon-Linberg-Wettbewerbs "Das Lied" and in 2010 was awarded with the Thomas-Wiese-Förderpreis. At the Internationalen Musikwettbewerb Köln 2011 he received a special award in the category of singing. Rafael Bruck made his debut in 2010 with the title role of Viktor Ullmann's Der Kaiser von Atlantis at the Städtischen Bühnen Münst
