Biography
Rafael Fingerlos, a baritone from Salzburg who grew up in Mariapfarr, has won prizes at national and international competitions. In the summer of 2015 he was a participant in the Young Singers Project at the Salzburg Festival , where he took part in the world premiere of Thomas Adès "The exterminating angel" the following summer. In February 2016 he made his debut at the Semperoper Dresden as Papageno, where he has since made regular guest appearances, including as Figaro in Rossini's "Barbiere" and as Harlequin in the new production of "Ariadne" under Christian Thielemann. Important debuts at the Bregenz Festival (as Moralès in Carmen) and at the Teatro Real in Madrid followed in 2017 and 2018(as Haudy in "The Soldiers").
