Biography
Since the 2023/24 season, Roland Böer has been general music director of the Nuremberg State Theater and chief conductor of the Nuremberg State Philharmonic. He has made guest appearances at leading opera houses worldwide such as the Teatro alla Scala, the Royal Opera House London, the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the New National Theater Tokyo. He has had a long-standing collaboration with the Frankfurt Opera; until 2019 he was also principal guest conductor of the Mikhailovsky Theater in Saint Petersburg. Since 2019 he has been a regular guest at the Tyrolean Festival Erl. For concerts and recordings he has led, among others, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra, the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Nuremberg State Philharmonic, the Bamberg Symphony
