Biography
Born in Aversa, Rosanna Savoia began studying voice at the Conservatory Pietro Majella in Naples and later specialised with R. Gazzani and E. Lombardini Smith. She has participated in seminars and masterclasses held by Gencer, Kabaiwanska, Kettelson, Montarsolo, Resnik, Scotto and Zedda (Accademia Rossiniana). She started very young in L’avaro by Mayr at the Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo, but beginnig a brilliant career that brought her to sing in major italian theaters after winning Toti dal Monte international competition. She sang: Cimarosa’s Il matrimonio segreto (Carolina) at the Comunale of Treviso and the Social Rovigo; L'elisir d'amore at the Luglio Musicale Trapanese, at the Teatro Comunale in Florence; Paisiello’s “ L’idolo cinese” at Verona, Teatro Filarmonico; Don Giovanni (Zerl
