Biography
Michigan Tenor Simeon Esper joined the soloists’ ensemble of the Sempeoper Dresden in 2011, where he has been featured in such roles as Flamand Capriccio, Dimitri Boris Godunow, Wenzel Die Verkaufte Braut, Steuermann Der fliegende Holländer, Pang Turandot and Walther von der Vogelweide Tannhäuser. Following initial engagements with Theater Bielefeld and the Deutsche Oper am Rhein (Düsseldorf) he established himself as a sought-after international guest, appearing with such houses as the Operá national de Paris, the Bayerische Staatsoper München, the Bregenzer Festspielen, the Theater an der Wien, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and Operá Comique in Paris, the Seattle Opera, the San Diego Opera and the Atlanta Opera. Upcoming engagements include a return to the Bayerische Staatsoper München
