Tajana Raj, born in Nueremberg Germany, studied at Hochschule fuer Musik Wuerzburg (Germany) under Prof. Leandra Overmann where she earned a diploma in both, concert und operatic performance as well as in music pedagogy. Still as a student Ms. Raj appeared several times at the State Opera in Hannover first with smaller parts like in Luigi Nono's "Al gran sole carico d‘amore" a production of Peter Konwitschny and the conductor Johannes Harneit, in a concert opera preformance of F. Cilea's “Adriana Lecouvreur“ as Mde. Dangeville (conductor Mikel Kütson) and in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "The Magic Flute" as Second Lady. After just one season Tajana Raj, back than a Mezzosoprano, began to sing major roles like as Lucio Cinna in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s "Lucio Silla", as well as Bradamante
