Biography
The Belgian bass Tijl Faveyts first attracted international attention when he sang Sarastro in DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE under the musical direction of Daniel Harding at the Aix-en-Provence Festival at the age of only 26. International guest engagements have recently taken Tijl Faveyts to the Bavarian State Opera Munich as Vanuzzi DIE SCHWEIGSAME FRAU, to the Concertgebouw Amsterdam as Fasolt DAS RHEINGOLD, to the Konzerthaus Berlin as Eremit DER FREISCHÜTZ and to the Semperoper Dresden as Re AIDA under the baton of Christian Thielemann. Tijl Faveyts was an ensemble member at the Theater St. Gallen and the Aalto-Theater Essen (2013 to 2019), where he was able to develop a broad repertoire.
