Bucharest, RomaniaYoel Gamzou is currently Generalmusikdirektor of the Theater Bremen, a position he began at the outset of the 2017/18 season with a critically acclaimed new production of Shostakovich’s Lady MacBeth of the Mtsensk District. This season in Bremen he will conduct Premieres of Elektra and Tosca. Elsewhere, he will make his debut at Bayerische Staatsoper with Seven Deaths of Maria Callas staged by Marina Abramovic and Tosca at Den Norske Opera Oslo. He will conduct symphonic concerts with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, London Philharmonic, Oregon Symphony, Jyväskylä Sinfonia and to Japan. In the 2019/20 season he made his debut at Deutsche Oper Berlin with Tosca and conducted a new production of Der Rosenkavalier in Bremen.
