Biography
Claudia Iten is currently enjoying great international success singing Isolde in Richard Wagner's Tristan und Isolde. Her guest appearances as Isolde have taken her to the Staatstheater Nürnberg, Theater Aachen (role debut 2011/12), Nationale Reisopera Enschede as well as the Novaya Opera in Moscow. She has also been invited to perform this part at the Golden Mask Festival in Moscow, following her nomination for the Golden Mask Award. Recent engagements as Isolde include The Teatro Communale di Modena (November 2015) and (upcoming) The Teatro Communale di Ferraro (January 2016). As a mezzo-soprano, Claudia Iten sang at the Opéra de Fribourg in Switzerland, at the Kammeroper in Vienna, and as a permanent member at the Theater Kiel.
