Christian Miedl was born in Passau, Germany, where he also completed a Master's Degree in International Business Studies. At the same time, he studied Lied and Oratorio with Wolfgang Holzmair at the Mozarteum University Salzburg. At the same time, he studied voice with Kjellaug Tesaker in Salzburg and Margreet Honig in Amsterdam, and later with Abbie Furmansky in Berlin and Patricia McCaffrey in New York. Among other awards, he holds the Oratorio-Lied Prize from the prestigious International Francisco-Viñas Voice Competition Barcelona. He has appeared regularly at leading concert venues such as the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Lucerne Festival, Holland Festival, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Mozart-Woche Salzburg, Cité de la Musique Paris.
