Biography
Franziska Rabl fell in love with classical music at a young age, first studying violin, viola, and french horn, and then playing in various youth orchestras and chamber music ensembles. Born into a musical family as a dual citizen of Germany and the United States, she soon knew she wanted to be a musician.Franziska studied voice with Pamela Coburn and Marilyn Schmiege at the conservatory in Munich. The International Opera Studio (IOS) in Zurich, Switzerland, awarded the young mezzo soprano a position in 2004/2005, and at the end of the season she was engaged by the theater in Dortmund from 2005-2008. There, she starred in title roles such as Carmen and Hänsel, but also got in touch with her first Wagner operas, singing Flosshilde and Siegrune in the ring cycle. As a guest star, she has als
