Biography
Levente Török has been First Conductor at the Mecklenburg State Theatre, Schwerin since the start of the 2022/2023 season. Born in Hungary in 1993, he comes from a family of musicians and began assisting at renowned music festivals, such as the Wagner Festival in Wels and at the Baden-Baden Festival, early on during the course of his studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. Here he was able to work with Ralf Weikert, Sir Simon Rattle and Teodor Currentzis, amongst others. In the 2014/2015 season he initially worked as assistant choir director at the Choir Academy of the Vienna State Opera.
