Biography
Maxim Kuzmin-Karavaev, bass, was born in Russia. His repertoire includes Padre Guardiano in La forza del destino, Talbot in Giovanna D’Arco (Verdi), Bartolo in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart), Capellio in I Capuleti ed i Montecchi, Rodolfo in La sonnambula (Bellini), Colline in La boheme (Puccini), Pimen in Boris Godunov (Mussorgsky), Alfonso in Lucrezia Borgia, Raimondo in Lucia di Lammermoor (Donizetti), Arkel in Pelleas et Melisande (Debussy), Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini), Calchas in Iphigenie en Aulide (Gluck), the Old Gypsy in Aleko (Rachmaninoff) and others. He performs in the opera houses of Madrid, Valencia, Munich, Zurich, Seville, Amsterdam, Moscow, Santiago de Chile, Oviedo, Hamburg, Toulouse, Rome, Liege, Lyon and others. This is his Israeli Opera debut.
