Biography
Nominated for the Victoires de la Musique Classique in the Lyric Revelation category in 2015, resident of the Royaumont Foundation and the Académie du Festival d'Aix-en-Provence in 2013, the tenor from Nice Samy Camps joined the CNSMD of Lyon in the class by Françoise Pollet after studying musicology and writing. He studies in masterclass with renowned artists such as Teresa Berganza, François Le Roux, Udo Reinemann or Ruben Lifschitz. At his ease in the roles of young premieres, he plays Romeo in the re-creation of Romeo und Julie de Benda at the Center Lyrique Clermont-Auvergne as well as Gounod's Romeo in concert at the Opéra de Rennes,Alfredo in La Traviata with Operas en Plein Air and Piquillo in La Périchole (Odéon de Marseille).
