Mikhail Sinkevich joined the Mariinsky Theatre in 2000. Productions he conducts at the Mariinsky Theatre include the operas The Queen of Spades, Eugene Onegine, Iolanta,Boris Godunov, Khovantschina,Sadko, Prince Igor, Ruslan and Lyudmila, A Life for the Tsar, Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk, Le nozze di Figaro, Lucia di Lammermoor, Macbeth,La Traviata,Rigoletto, Un ballo in maschera,, La forza del destino, Don Carlo, Aida, Madama Butterfly, Turandot, Carmen, Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Der Fliegende Holländer , Salome.

In 2009 Mikhail Sinkevich made his debut at the New National Opera in Tokyo, conducting the first ever production in Japan of Dmitry Shostakovich’s opera Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk with Tokio Symphony Orchestra.

Mikhail Sinkevich permanently collaborate with Croatian National Opera in Zagreb where he did new production of Tchaikovsky’s Mazeppa in May 2010.

He has conducted several concerts at both the Mariinsky Theatre and the Concert Hall with simphonic repertoire and the theatre’s leading soloists. 

He has toured with the Mariinsky to countries throughout the world, appearing at the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Baden-Baden’s Festspielhaus etc. He frequently collaborates with opera houses and symphony orchestras in Russia, Belarus, Germany, Croatia and other countries. 

Graduated from Saint-Petersburg Conservatoire in 1994, Mikhail Sinkevich worked in National Opera Theater of Belarus from 1995 till 2000 where he conducted a vast numbers of Russian and Western operas.
