The young French-German soprano Camille Schnoor was born in Nice. Praised for her “stupendous acting and powerful, fascinating singing” (FAZ), she won the Bavarian Sponsorship Award for Performing Arts 2020 as well as the International Competition Vokal Genial 2013. She studied piano in her hometown Nice before moving on to the Conservatoire National de Musique de Paris (CNSM). After graduating there as a concert pianist only aged 20, she studied singing in Paris. 2014-2016, as a young member of the Theater Aachen in Germany, she sang Luisa Miller (title role), Agathe (der Freischütz), Maria (West Side Story), Marenka (The bartered bride) as well as Verdi’s Requiem. From 2016 to 2023 she has been a leading soloist at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich and sang there numerous main
