Rebeca Olvera

Rebeca Olvera was born in Mexico. She studied at the Conservatorio Nacional de Music in Mexico City and gave her professional operatic debut in the role of Marie in Donizetti's La fille du régiment at the Palacio de Bellas Artes.​ In 2006 she won the prize of the audience at the International Hans-Gabor Belvedere Competition in Vienna​ Between 2005 to 2007 she was a member of the International Opera Studio in Zürich and subsequently became a member of the ensemble of Zürich Opera. Here she has performed roles such as Adina in L'elisir d'amore, Norina in Don Pasquale, Berenice in Rossini's L'occasione fa il ladro, Giulia in La scala di seta, Rosina in Paisiello's Il barbiere di Siviglia, Blonde in Mozart's Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Madame Herz in Die Schauspieldirektor, Destine in C
