For the 1st symphony concert of this season on October 17thGeneral Music Director Robin Davis was able to arrange something very special for the Badische Philharmonie at the CCP: the European premiere of Anna Clyne's cello concerto "Dance". Another goodie: With Inbal Segev he was also able to win the cellist of the 2019 world premiere and world premiere recording in the USA. The American with Israeli roots performs internationally with renowned orchestras and conductors, has received numerous awards and will also play the solo in the graceful, beautiful Handel aria "What passion can music not awaken and suppress" in the 1st symphony concert. She will be joined by the soprano Elisandra Melián from the music theater ensemble of the Theater Pforzheim. In addition to "Dance", described by Davis as "highly emotional and heartbreakingly beautiful", another piece will have its German premiere in Pforzheim: the "Sinfonia for Orbiting Spheres" by the contemporary composer Missy Mazzoli. The audience can also look forward to Mozart's last and popular "Jupiter" symphony.

Für das 1. Sinfoniekonzert dieser Spielzeit am 17. Oktoberim CCP konnte Generalmusikdirektor Robin Davis für die Badische Philharmonie etwas ganz besonderes arrangieren: die europäische Erstaufführung von Anna Clynes Cellokonzert „Dance“. Ein weiteres Bonbon: Mit Inbal Segev konnte er zudem die Cellistin der 2019 in den USA umjubelten Uraufführung und Weltersteinspielung gewinnen. Die US-Amerikanerin mit israelischen Wurzeln tritt international mit renommierten Orchestern und Dirigenten auf, erhielt zahlreiche Preise und wird im 1. Sinfoniekonzert zusätzlich das Solo in der graziös-klangschönen Händel-Arie „Welche Leidenschaft kann Musik nicht wecken und unterdrücken“ spielen. Zu ihr gesellt sich die Sopranistin Elisandra Melián aus dem Musiktheaterensemble des Theaters Pforzheim. Neben dem von Davis als „hochemotional und herzzerreißend schön“ beschriebenen „Dance“ wird ein weiteres Stück seine deutsche Erstaufführung in Pforzheim erleben: die „Sinfonia for Orbiting Spheres“ von der zeitgenössischen Komponistin Missy Mazzoli. Das Publikum kann sich außerdem auf Mozarts letzte und beliebte „Jupiter“-Sinfonie freuen.
