We have demonstrated the perfection of high-quality classical music through regular concerts, opera, invitations to South Japan Broadcasting, invitations to Kanazawa City, Japan, and symphony festivals, and by discovering promising new artists and youth in the province, we have provided opportunities for young people to express themselves as leading figures in the next generation music world. ‘Newcomer and Youth Concert’ held to provide young people with a wide range of classical music appreciation and performance, ‘Youth Concert’ held to expand the scope of classical music appreciation and performance, ‘Pops Concert’ and ‘Film Music Festival’ with unique tastes, and children’s perspectives. In line with this, we are holding various themed performances such as 'Kids Concert' that the whole family can enjoy.
 
In addition to concerts at professional performance halls, we visit schools, hospitals, libraries, etc. to present beautiful melodies to citizens and continue to expand our scope of activities so that they can lead high-quality lives through meaningful concerts that spread classical music to even the underprivileged. I'm going.
 
The Jeonju Philharmonic Orchestra, which has numerous performance experiences, continues to develop musically by digesting various genres and high-quality music with the inauguration of the young and passionate permanent conductor Choi Hee-jun, who presents excellent interpretations of a wide range of repertoire from classical to modern times, and is receiving rave reviews from citizens. It has established itself as a beloved orchestra. Jeonju City Symphony Orchestra, representing Jeollabuk-do, will greatly contribute to the development of musical culture and the development of citizens' emotions as well as the development of the local community through continuous efforts and new attempts at operation.

문화의 도시 전주를 대표하는 전주시립교향악단은 1975년 1월 초대상임지휘자 유영수에 의해 전주관현악단으로 발족하여 그 이듬해인 1976년 시립교향악단으로 창단되었다. 1987년을 기점으로 단원의 상임화를 시작, 현재는 2관 편성의 오케스트라로 명실 공히 예향이라 일컬어지는 전라북도의 음악계를 주도적으로 이끌어오고 있다.
 
정기연주회, 오페라, 남 일본방송 초청, 일본 가나자와시 초청, 교향악축제 등을 통해 수준 높은 클래식 음악의 완성을 보여줬으며, 도내 유망 신인과 청소년을 발굴하여 차세대 음악계의 주역으로서 손색없는 젊은이들의 자기표현 기회를 제공하고자 마련하는 ‘신인·청소년 음악회’, 청소년들의 클래식 음악 감상과 연주의 폭을 넓혀주기 위해 개최하는 ‘청소년 음악회’, 색다른 맛이 풍기는 ‘팝스콘서트’와 ‘영화음악페스티발’, 어린이의 눈높이에 맞춰 온 가족이 즐길 수 있는 ‘키즈 콘서트’ 등 테마가 있는 다양한 기획연주를 개최하고 있다.
 
전문 공연장에서의 콘서트 외에도 학교, 병원, 도서관 등을 방문하여 시민들에게 아름다운 선율을 선사하고, 소외계층까지 클래식 음악을 전파하는 의미 있는 연주회를 통해 질 높은 삶을 영위할 수 있도록 활동무대를 지속적으로 넓혀가고 있다.
 
수많은 연주경력을 갖고 있는 전주시립교향악단은 고전에서 현대까지 폭 넓은 레퍼토리를 탁월한 해석으로 선보이는 젊고 열정적인 최희준 상임지휘자의 취임으로 다양한 장르와 수준높은 음악을 소화해내어 음악적 발전을 거듭하고 있으며, 시민들에게 극찬과 사랑 받는 오케스트라로 자리 잡고 있다. 전라북도를 대표하는 전주시립교향악단은 지속적인 노력과 운영의 새로운 시도를 통해 음악문화발전과 시민의 정서함양은 물론 지역사회 발전에도 크게 이바지 할 것이다.
