Jüri Reinvere is one of the most important composers of our time. A foretaste of Reinvere's communicative musical language is offered by his tone poem Norils, the Daffodils . The common thread is a text that Reinvere himself wrote after William Wordsworth. The poignant composition is about the forced laborers who were imprisoned in the Siberian mining town of Norilsk during the Soviet era and creates a musical monument to them.

With the 6th symphony concert, the Osnabrück Music Prize winner 2022 Lukas Sternath will play the second concert as artist in residence in Osnabrück.

With his Second Symphony, The Age of Anxiety, premiered in 1949 , Leonard Bernstein traced the post-WWII sense of disorientation and the blanketing of social isolation with a numbing intoxication. The work is formally a tone poem based on a poem of the same name by WH Auden. As is typical for Bernstein, several styles, such as numerous jazz elements, can be found here. With the participation of musicians from the Orchestra Academy, young talents in the region are promoted.

Zu den wichtigen Komponist:innen unserer Tage zählt Jüri Reinvere. Einen Vorgeschmack auf die mitteilsame Musiksprache Reinveres bietet dessen Tondichtung Norils, the Daffodils. Den roten Faden bildet ein Text, den Reinvere selbst nach William Wordsworth verfasst hat. Die ergreifende Komposition handelt von den zu Sowjetzeiten in der sibirischen Minenstadt Norilsk inhaftierten Zwangsarbeitern und setzt ihnen ein klingendes Denkmal.

Mit dem 6. Sinfoniekonzert wird der Osnabrücker Musikpreisträger 2022 Lukas Sternath das zweite Konzert als Artist in residence in Osnabrück spielen.

Mit seiner 1949 uraufgeführten Zweiten Sinfonie The Age of Anxiety (Das Zeitalter der Angst) spürte Leonard Bernstein dem Gefühl der Orientierungslosigkeit nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg und der Überdeckung der sozialen Vereinzelung mit einem betäubenden Rausch nach. Das Werk ist formal betrachtet eine Tondichtung nach einem gleichnamigen Gedicht von W. H. Auden. Wie für Bernstein typisch, finden sich hier mehrere Stilrichtungen, wie zahlreiche Jazzelemente, wieder. Mit der Mitwirkung durch Musiker:innen der Orchesterakademie werden der Nachwuchs und die Talente in der Region gefördert.
