Praised by Opera News for her "impassioned singing" and "silvery voice," Alexandra Nowakowski returned to The Metropolitan Opera for the 2022/23 season to cover Barbara/Mrs. Latch in The Hours (Puts), Voce dal cielo in Don Carlo, and Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier. She was a recipient of the Beebe Fund fellowship which aided her in recording her debut album of all Polish music, KRAINA. Alexandra was a Cafritz Young Artist with the Washington National Opera and is an alumna of the Academy of Vocal Arts. As a finalist in the El Primer Palau competition, she presented a solo recital with Michał Biel at the Palau de la Música in Barcelona, where she currently resides. She is a Winner of the 2019 Astral National Competition.
 
Join us as Alexandra Nowakowski returns to Philadelphia to present a concert of works for soprano and piano. Featured on this concert is a world premiere by composer Griffin Candey, made possible by the Astral Commissioning Program. She is joined by pianist Luke Housner and Astral classical accordionist Iwo Jedynecki.
