Kirill Gerstein, whom The New York Times has praised as “one of the most respected pianists of his generation,” takes centre stage for Beethoven’s most lyrical piano concerto. The TSO brings back City Noir, John Adams’s jazz-tinged evocation of 1940s Hollywood cinema, which premièred to acclaim in 2011.
