Dietrich Paredes begins his violin studies in 1989. He has received Master Classes with Venezuelan teachers Ulysses Ascanio and Santiago Garmendia, and the Internationally acknowledged Maestros Agustín Dumay, Oliver Charlier, Virginie Robilliard, Margaret Pardee, Aaron Rosand, Maurice Hasson, Yossi Zivoni, Daniel Stabrawa, Eugene Fodor and Igor Oistrakh. In addition, he studied at the Latin American Academy of Violin, along with Maestro José Francisco Del Castillo.

Dietrich Paredes won his first award at the Third International Children and Young Soloists contest in 1991, in the city of Cordoba, Argentina. By 1997, he won at the Violinists Competition 'Juan Bautista Plaza', and was also awarded with the 'José Félix Ribas' Order due to his outstanding participation in the artistic and cultural area. His role as Violinist and soloist with the "Jóvenes Arcos" Orchestra in Venezuela is also a remark of his career. He belonged to the first violins of the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra, with whom he made several international tours in Latin America, Europe and Japan. In addition, he has served in the position of concertmaster with several Venezuelan youth orchestras.

As Director he is currently a pupil of Maestro José Antonio Abreu. He has conducted several Venezuelan orchestras as guest conductor, including the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra, and regional youth orchestra, such as Monagas Symphony Orchestra, The Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra of Tachira, Merida Symphony Orchestra and Falcon Symphony Orchestra.

Internationally, he led the string orchestra "Jóvenes Arcos de Venezuela" (Orchestra of which he was Musical Director between 2001 and 2004) in their tour to Argentina in 2004. He also participated as guest conductor of the orchestra 'Carlos Chávez' in Mexico in 2005, and conducted the Montevideo Youth Symphony Orchestra in Uruguay by 2009.

He is currently Music Director of the Caracas Youth Symphony Orchestra, which whom he has done an important work of training, along with Maestro José Antonio Abreu, through a very successful concert season in 2009 and 2010, including performances in several of Venezuela's most important concert halls, such as the Ríos Reyna Hall at Teatro Teresa Carreno, and Simón Bolívar Hall, at the Center of Social action through Music.

In 2011 he received different invitations in order to conduct in several Latin American countries. In addition, he works indefatigably with the Caracas Youth Symphony Orchestra in their preparation for what will be their first tour through the Asian Continent, visiting China, South Korea and Japan.

Caracas Youth Symphony has now become in one of the most representative Orchestras of the National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs of Venezuela, founded by Maestro José Antonio Abreu 36 years ago. This orchestra has 175 members from 14 to 22 years old. This talented musicians group is inheritors of an extraordinary generation that has left its mark: the Simon Bolívar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela.

It represents one of the most important achievements of El Sistema, together with the Simon Bolívar Conservatory of Music, and has the institutional sponsorship of the Mayor of Caracas. Besides playing the symphonic repertoire with complex works of the most renowned composers and chamber music at the highest level, they also play specific programs of Latin American Music, which includes, with special emphasis a Venezuelan composer's orchestral repertoire.

Its Musical Conductor is the young musician Dietrich Paredes, one of the leading conductors, with a greater future of El Sistema, a student of Maestro José Antonio Abreu and member of the first violins of the Simon Bolívar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela. He has performed as guest conductor with Monagas State Symphony Orchestra, Simon Bolívar Symphony of Táchira State, Mérida State Symphony, Falcon State Youth Symphony and Bows of Venezuela.

The Caracas Youth Symphony has a special bond with Gustavo Dudamel, who was its lead conductor. Every time he is in Venezuela, Dudamel conducts the orchestra in repertoires with highly technical work.

The orchestra has been also conducted by the Venezuelan Maestros Eduardo Marturet, Florian Ebersberg, Eddy Marcano, Rubén Capriles, Edgar Pronio, Ulyses Ascanio, Manuel López, Pablo Castellanos, Rafael Payare, and the international Maestros Isaac Karabtchevsky from Brazil, Missa Johnouchi from Japan and Sung Kwak from Korea.

Most of the best Venezuelan soloists have performed with the CYS, we can mention David Ascanio, William Molina, Alexis Cárdenas, Aquiles Machado, Gaspar Colón, Sara Catarine, Valdemar Rodríguez, among others. As well as distinguished Maestros from other countries as Maurice Hasson, France; Luis Rossi, Argentina and Marian Sobula, Poland.

2010 was very important for the consolidation of the Caracas Youth Symphony in Venezuela with a memorable concerts season, in several of the most emblematic concert halls of the country as Ríos Reyna Concert Hall of the Teresa Carreno Theater and Simon Bolívar Concert Hall of National Social Action Center for Music, where they performed a demanding repertoire with works by Verdi, Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Beethoven, Saint-Saens, Shostakovich, Mahler and Chopin, among others.

They began 2011 with new achievements when they were conducted by Maestro Sung Kwak, on a sold out of the Simon Bolívar Concert Hall of National Social Action Center for Music. On the same stage they also participated in an emotional tribute to Maestro Juan Vicente Torrealba, one of the most illustrious Venezuelan tradition representative, performing several of his works under Gustavo Duhamel's baton.
