Beautiful and wild woman, beautiful Spanish landscape with a bit of exoticism and folklore. Carmen knows neither the past nor the future, she lives in the eternal present. She awakens a passionate love in Don José, the sturdy soldier, but her love of freedom clashes with his desire to possess. For Carmen, love is just a passing feeling, not a lifelong relationship. It is autonomous, even a natural phenomenon. Don José finally kills the gypsy girl who disturbs his peace of mind. The colorful world dreamed up by Bizet, the Spanish temperament promises music lovers an opera with a magical atmosphere. Every melody sounds familiar, the arias speak from within us. Carmen is the opera that pulses in our blood, its passion is familiar and yet exciting.

Szép és vad asszony, gyönyörű spanyol táj egy kis egzotikummal és folklórral fűszerezve. Carmen nem ismer se múltat, se jövendőt, örök jelenben él. Szenvedélyes szerelmet ébreszt Don Joséban, a derék katonában, de szabadságszeretete összeütközésbe kerül a férfi birtoklási vágyával. A szerelem Carmennek csupán múló hangulat, nem egész életre szóló kapcsolat. Öntörvényű akár egy természeti jelenség. Don José végül megöli a lelki nyugalmát felkavaró cigánylányt. A Bizet által megálmodott színes világ, a spanyol temperamentum varázslatos hangulatú operát ígér a zene szerelmeseinek. Minden dallam ismerősen cseng, az áriák belőlünk szólnak. A Carmen az az opera, ami vérünkben lüktet, szenvedélye ismerős, és mégis izgató.
